successfully introduce Johnson & Wales to Charlotte when the university

Led collaborative process to reach consensus on marketing strategy
to unify the college under one brand umbrella. Created new graphic
identity, tag line and message platform. Provided new web homepage
design, graphic standards manual and a communication plan. Also produced
fundraising pieces for community campaigns to build new campus buildings.
South Carolina Technical Education System
Facilitated strategic planning sessions with three groups within the
state technical college system: President's Council (16 campus presidents);
senior staff in Columbia; Board of Trustees. The process helped establish
legislative priorities and strategic organizational direction.
Aiken Technical College, Aiken, S.C.
Facilitated strategic planning for the college's foundation resulting
in a more engaged and focused board of directors with specific annual

Strategic communications for campaigns in 2002 and 2007 that won voter
approval for $730 million in bond funding to renovate and build schools.
Developed active grassroots campaigns to show how the bonds balanced
needs across the county. Campaigns included outdoor, print and radio
advertising, direct mail, speakers bureaus, interactive Web sites,
email, online advertising and search engine optimization. The school
bonds were part of broader campaigns that included bonds for other
major community projects.
Darlington County Schools, Darlington, S.C.
Created county-wide support to pass a bond referendum to build the
first schools here in nearly 50 years. Carolina PR managed the campaign
and created advertising and direct mail materials. We also conducted
media relations, telephone polling research and get-out-the-vote efforts.
