Q. How do I apply for a job with Carolina PR?

A. First, review our Employment FAQs, under the Employment section of this Web site. A form in the Employment section allows you to send us your cover letter and resume. You can also submit your qualifications by mail to our Charlotte office. Address all employment-related correspondence to "Employment."

Q. What is the difference between marketing and public relations?

A. Generally, marketing is a broad term for any activity that positively affects the sale of a product or service. It can include research and development, planning, sales, advertising, public relations and more. Public relations specifically deals with the understanding and acceptance of your product, service or organization by people or groups that impact your success. Public relations includes public information, publicity, government relations, public affairs, news media relations, employee communications and more. Carolina Public Relations/Marketing, Inc., provides a range of services in both disciplines to positively impact the success of the corporations and institutions with which we work.

Q. Does anyone in your agency speak to professional groups about public relations and marketing?

A. Yes, our principals regularly present to professional groups both within the marketing and public relations field, as well as professionals in other industries who are interested in hearing more about how the communications process works, and how to maximize relationships with communications professionals. We also work extensively in several industries such as public works, transportation, healthcare and human services, and others, and speak to national, state and local associations about using public relations and marketing strategies to accomplish goals specific to those industries. If you are interested in a speaker for an organization, contact Louise Dixon at 704-374-9300.
