Q. What is the best way to apply for a position with Carolina Public Relations / Marketing, Inc.?

A. You may submit a cover letter and resume using the form located at www.carolinapr.com/employment/employment_contact.asp, or mail it to our Charlotte office address in care of "Employment."

Q. Do you offer education benefits or memberships to professional associations as employment benefits?

A. Carolina PR encourages employees to continue their professional education in a variety of ways. Q. Can you recommend a specific college course of study to prepare a person for a position in public relations or marketing?

A. People interested in public relations or marketing should consider colleges or universities that offer couses in these fields, but we find many other fields of study provide a good background for public relations professionals, including journalism, law, economics, history, english, psychology, business and others. We look specifically for candidates with a proven ability to communicate well, experience in serving clients, and a natural sense of curiosity and business understanding.

Q. If I submit a resume, is it a good idea to call you to follow up? If so, who should I call?

A. Because of the large number of unsolicited resumes we receive, we'd prefer that you email us at "hr@carolinapr.com" if you choose to follow up. We review all resumes received, but do not typically hold resumes on file.

Q. Do you hire college interns for quarter, semester or summer employment?

A. We don't have a structured internship program, but Carolina PR does hire students for internships on a part-time, fulltime or temporary basis if our needs match their skills and experience.
